Armed with a Masters Degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Bob worked several years as an Art Director with Benton & Bowles, a prominent Chicago Advertising firm. Upon arriving in San Francisco, He worked as a designer for such companies as Apple Computer, Clement Mok Designs, and Esprit de Corp. He started Maus Haus, an award winning Design Company devoted to developing and designing interactive New Media applications. Maus Haus sold in 1997, and Bob worked for Roger Black as the Vice President of Design for The Interactive Bureau. Bob has been the Creative Director for Organic Online and various other Companies. Bob has taught classes with April Grieman at the Academy of Art University and classes at the San Francisco State's Multimedia Studies Program. He has hosted a number of developer workshops and has been a speaker at the HOW Design Conference, MacWorld Expo, Seybold, WEB98/2000, COMDEX, Rick Tharp's conference THCTJHTBIPC (Park City), Builder.com. UDA/Edgewise, Web Design World and has been a judge for the New Media Invsion Awards. Bob has been teaching for over a fifteen-year period. He currently teaches Experience Design in the Graphic Design and New Media Departments at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Bob has written several Online Courses including; Branding on the Web (Nature of Interaction), UX Design and rewrote the class Balancing Creativity and Profitability. Bob continues to teach both Graduate and Undergraduate classes and is an Advisor for the Graduate Department helping mentor students with their final thesis projects.
